Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Leandro Barreto / LND Tech ("we", "us", or "the Developer") handles information in the MediStock iOS app. By using MediStock, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

MediStock collects and stores the following information locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and on-device file storage:

• Medication information: Names, descriptions, dosages, stock levels, schedules, prescription details, and notes you enter
• Patient (person) profiles: Display names, relationship type, optional date of birth, notes, colour preferences, and optional profile photos you choose
• Pharmacy information: Contact details of your pharmacies (name, email, phone, address, notes)
• Stock reminder contacts: Names, email addresses, and relationship labels you add for low-stock email alerts
• User preferences: Notification settings, email template preferences, appearance, optional country for tip targeting, and related toggles

Local medication and patient records are used to manage inventory, calculate run-out dates, send local reminders, draft pharmacy emails, and (when you enable it) send low-stock emails to contacts you chose. We cannot remotely browse your local medication database.

2. How We Use Local Information

Information stored on your device is used to:

• Display and manage medication inventory for one or more patients
• Calculate when medications will run out
• Send local notifications about low stock and daily reminders
• Draft pharmacy refill emails (opened in your mail app at your request)
• Send optional low-stock reminder emails to contacts you configure (see Section 5)
• Filter on-device in-app tips using language and optional country (see Section 8)

3. Data Storage

This means:

• Local data is protected by your device's security features (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode)
• There is no automatic cloud sync of your personal medication records
• If you delete the App, local data stored by MediStock is removed from your device (subject to backups)
• Device backups via iCloud or computer may include App data according to Apple's policies

4. Optional LND Tech Account

Signing in is optional. MediStock can use a shared LND Tech account (the same profile used across LND Tech apps such as Epilog) via email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple.

4.1 What We Store on LND Tech Servers

• Account identifiers such as email, username, and optional first/last name
• Optional date of birth if you provide it when creating an account
• Authentication tokens and verification status needed to keep you signed in
• App access / subscription entitlement signals used to recognise MediStock usage and Pro status

Account data is processed on lndtech.eu. It is separate from your on-device medication inventory. Creating an account does not upload your medication list to LND Tech.

4.2 Country (On-Device Only)

If you optionally select a country during account creation (or later in preferences), that ISO country code is stored on your device to help filter in-app tips. It is not uploaded as part of the shared LND Tech users profile at this time.

4.3 Sign-In Providers

Google and Apple process sign-in according to their own privacy policies. We receive the identity information needed to create or link your LND Tech account (for example email and name, subject to what you share with the provider).

5. Low-Stock Email Reminders (Optional)

When a reminder is sent, MediStock may transmit to lndtech.eu (secure HTTPS API):

• Recipient names and email addresses you entered
• Patient display name associated with the medication
• Medication name, stock summary, dosage summary, days remaining, estimated run-out date, and stock status

We use this information only to send the reminder email you requested. Do not add contacts without their permission. You can disable reminders and delete contacts at any time in Settings.

6. Anonymous Research Data Sharing (Optional)

6.1 Purpose

If you opt in, MediStock may send anonymised medication stock snapshots to a secure research database hosted on Google Firebase Firestore. The data is used for aggregated healthcare and supply-chain research. It is not used for advertising or marketing.

6.2 What Is Transmitted

When enabled, the App may upload a snapshot containing, for each active medication:

• Medication name (as you entered it)
• Formatted dosage summary and dosage amount
• Doses per day and daily consumption
• Whether the medication is taken as needed
• Current stock level (rounded integer), stock unit, and package size
• Month and year when the medication was added — exact date/time are never sent
• Month and year of expiry, if recorded — exact expiry date is never sent
• Submission month and year — no exact upload timestamp in the payload

6.3 What Is NEVER Transmitted

• Your name, email, phone number, or contact information
• User IDs, patient profile names, photos, account identifiers, or device identifiers (IDFV, IDFA, etc.)
• Pharmacy details
• Free-text notes, product descriptions, prescriber names, or prescription numbers
• Exact dates/times or GPS / precise geolocation

6.4 Storage and Control

Snapshots are stored in Firebase Firestore (medistock_market_snapshots) with randomly generated document IDs not linked to your account in the App. Transmission uses HTTPS. Server rules allow the App to create documents only. Opt-in is required (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) where applicable). Withdraw consent anytime in Settings. Already submitted anonymised snapshots generally cannot be identified for deletion; contact support@lndtech.eu for privacy requests.

7. App Feedback (Optional)

If you send feedback through Settings → Send App Feedback, the App transmits to Firebase Firestore (medistock_feedbacks):

• Your star rating (1–5)
• The feature you selected as most important
• Suggestions you type (up to 2,000 characters)
• Device language/locale
• A server timestamp of submission

Feedback is voluntary and is not linked to your account or device identifiers in the payload. Do not include personal or medical identifying information in free text.

8. In-App Tips / Promo Messages

The App may download a public JSON catalog of educational or promotional tips from lndtech.eu. Selection happens on your device using app language and optional country. No medication records are sent to fetch or filter tips. Dismissed message IDs stay on-device. Tips may include an optional “Learn more” link to pages on lndtech.eu.

9. Advertising and Tracking

The free version of MediStock may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google may collect device information, advertising identifiers (such as IDFA when permitted), coarse location, advertising data, and related diagnostics in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

• Where required, the App may request App Tracking Transparency permission and show a Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form (for example in the EEA/UK)
• You can manage privacy options from Settings when Apple or Google require them
• Device ID / advertising identifiers used for personalised ads across apps and websites constitute tracking under Apple’s definition when you allow tracking
• You can remove ads by subscribing to MediStock Pro (Remove Ads) via the App Store. Ads stay removed while the subscription remains active; when it ends, ads may return

The Developer does not receive your medication inventory through AdMob.

10. Data Sharing Summary

We do not sell your medication data. Data may leave your device when:

• LND Tech account: You sign in or register (Section 4)
• Low-stock emails: You enable reminders (Section 5)
• Pharmacy emails: You draft/send via your own mail app
• Anonymous research: You opt in (Section 6)
• App feedback: You submit the form (Section 7)
• Tips catalog: Public download; no health records (Section 8)
• Advertising: Free tier via Google AdMob (Section 9)
• Purchases: Processed by Apple StoreKit
• Device backups: Per Apple’s policies

11. Third-Party Services

• LND Tech (lndtech.eu): Optional account, subscription entitlement checks, tips catalog, and low-stock email relay
• Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple: Optional authentication
• Google Firebase Firestore: Optional anonymous research and voluntary feedback
• Google AdMob & User Messaging Platform: Ads and consent on the free tier
• Apple StoreKit: MediStock Pro (Remove Ads) subscription and optional tips

MediStock does not integrate separate behavioural analytics SDKs beyond the services above. Infrastructure providers may process standard request metadata (such as IP address) under their policies.

12. Notifications

MediStock uses Apple's local notification system for low stock and daily reminders. Those notifications are processed on your device. Optional low-stock emails are separate (Section 5).

13. Purchases

MediStock Pro is an auto-renewable subscription that removes advertisements while active (monthly plan; legacy yearly subscribers remain supported). Optional one-time tips support the Developer. All purchases are processed by Apple. The Developer does not receive your full payment card details.

14. Data Security

• Apple device encryption and iOS app sandboxing for local data
• Local-first storage of medication and patient records
• HTTPS for optional account, email relay, research, feedback, and catalog requests

15. Data Retention

Local App data remains on your device while you use MediStock and is removed when you delete the App (subject to backups). LND Tech account data is retained while your account exists; you may request account deletion from the App or by contacting us. Anonymous research and feedback in Firebase are retained for research and product improvement; anonymised research snapshots generally cannot be linked back to you. Ad partners retain data per their policies.

16. Your Rights

• Access and modification: Local records are editable in the App; account profile fields can be managed via sign-in flows where available
• Deletion: Delete medications, patients, pharmacies, contacts, or uninstall the App; request LND Tech account deletion when signed in
• Consent withdrawal: Disable research sharing, stock emails, ads personalisation (system settings / ATT), and UMP choices where offered

17. Children's Privacy

MediStock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through account or tracking features. Parents or guardians who track a child’s medications on their own device should supervise optional research, email, and account features.

18. App Store Privacy Labels

Apple’s App Privacy labels for MediStock reflect data collected when features apply, including:

• Device ID and Advertising Data used for advertising / tracking when ads are shown and tracking is allowed
• Contact Info / identifiers when you create or use an LND Tech account or configure email reminder contacts
• Health (or related) data in anonymised research snapshots when you opt in
• Other User Content for voluntary feedback
• Purchase History for StoreKit subscriptions and tips

Local medication data that never leaves your device is not “collected” in the App Store sense. See Apple's App Privacy Details.

19. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
